Location: Miami, FL (Hybrid)

Strong preference for South Florida-based candidates due to regular interaction with executive leadership and Board stakeholders.

Shape the Future of Executive Compensation at World Fuel

World Fuel is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking executive compensation leader to oversee the design, governance, and evolution of executive compensation and long-term incentive programs.

This highly visible role serves as a trusted advisor to the CHRO, senior executive leadership team, Compensation Committee, and Board of Directors. You will help shape the future of executive rewards, advising on compensation strategy, long-term incentives, equity programs, regulatory developments, and emerging market trends that support business growth while aligning executive performance with shareholder interests.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced executive compensation professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with technical expertise and influencing decisions at the highest levels of the organization.

What You'll Do Lead Executive Compensation Strategy
  • Develop and evolve the company's executive compensation philosophy and strategy.
  • Design and administer executive compensation programs for the C-Suite and Named Executive Officers (NEOs).
  • Evaluate market trends, shareholder expectations, and competitive practices to ensure programs remain effective and competitive.
  • Provide recommendations on executive pay structures, annual incentives, equity programs, and long-term incentive plans.
Partner with Executive Leadership & the Board
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CHRO, executive leadership team, Compensation Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Prepare executive compensation analyses, recommendations, modeling, and decision-support materials.
  • Present complex compensation topics and recommendations to executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Support executive decision-making with data-driven market insights and compensation expertise.
Oversee Equity & Long-Term Incentive Programs
  • Lead all aspects of equity compensation administration and governance.
  • Manage restricted stock, stock options, performance-based awards, and other equity vehicles.
  • Evaluate and recommend future-state LTI designs that support retention, performance, and shareholder alignment.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Payroll on equity-related matters.
Drive Analysis, Modeling & Governance
  • Lead executive compensation benchmarking, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Conduct compensation analyses to support executive compensation decisions.
  • Maintain strong governance frameworks, controls, and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory reviews.
Ensure Compliance & Regulatory Excellence
  • Oversee compliance with SEC regulations, tax laws, accounting requirements, equity plan provisions, and corporate governance standards.
  • Lead executive compensation disclosures, including proxy support and Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A) preparation.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise leadership on emerging requirements and risks.
Lead & Develop the Team
  • Manage and develop the Executive Compensation and Equity Administration team.
  • Mentor team members and build organizational capability.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, analytics, reporting, and technology.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
What You'll Bring Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive executive compensation experience.
  • Significant executive compensation experience within a publicly traded company.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing compensation, rewards, or executive compensation teams.
  • Strong expertise in executive compensation design, equity plans, long-term incentives, SEC reporting, and corporate governance.
  • Experience supporting Compensation Committees, Boards of Directors, and senior executives.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent public company executive compensation experience.
  • Experience supporting proxy statement development and CD&A preparation.
  • CCP and/
  • r CEP certification.
  • Experience advising executive leadership on compensation strategy and program design.
