Join a supportive and patient-centered team in providing specialized care for patients seen in our developmental medicine and genetics practices. Our MA/CTA team collaborates closely with office RNs, fostering a cohesive, team-based environment where everyone shares the work, supports one another, and remains focused on delivering patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

This is a primarily clinical role with responsibilities that include:

  • Rooming patients and obtaining/documenting patient information and vital signs
  • Coordinating communication between patients, providers, and care team members
  • Supporting referrals and prior authorizations
  • Assisting in scoring psychological assessments
  • Maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment and ensuring supplies and equipment are properly stocked.

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • Monday- Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm or 8:00 am-4:30pm
  • No evenings, weekends, major holidays, or on-call requirements

Position Summary:

The Medical Assistant (MA)is an integral member of our healthcare team, supporting providers and patients by delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a clinical setting. The MA is responsible for assisting patient preparation, clinical procedures, documentation, and communication to ensure efficient patient flow and positive experience. Key responsibilities include collecting patient information and vital signs, preparing patients for exams or procedures, performing routine tests, administering medications as directed, and supporting patient education. The MA also manages clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and helps maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

The Clinical Team Assistant (CTA)plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, efficient, and patient-centered care within the clinical team. Working under the direction of providers and licensed clinical staff, the CTA assists with both administrative and clinical support tasks to ensure a smooth workflow and a positive patient experience. Key responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, managing patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient information and vital signs, assisting with basic clinical procedures, scheduling appointments, and coordinating communication between patients, providers, and care team members. The CTA also helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment and ensures supplies and equipment are properly stocked.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Medical Assistant

  1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the following requirements: Graduated from an accredited vocational institution or community college in Medical Assisting with 160 hours of clinical experience completed; or completion of an Adult Education Medical Assistant program and 6 months of clinical experience in a practice setting; or 1 year of clinical experience in a multi-provider practice setting (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  2. License/Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NREMT certification preferred. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. A NH Med Tech License, or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license is required for those positions located in New Hampshire.
  3. Experience: Relevant experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Clinical Team Assistant

  1. Education:Student or graduate of an accredited vocational program, community college, or university in the field of health sciences that required clinical experience for advancement; or completion of an MA program that did not require a clinical externship; or completion of a healthcare vocational program with a patient facing component; or equivalent relevant clinical patient facing experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  2. License/Certifications:Current BLS certification within one month of hire required.
  3. Experience:A minimum of three months of patient facing clinical experience required.

The pay range for the medical assistant position is $21.09to $27.12 per hour.

The pay range for the clinical team assistant position is $20.27to $24.36 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
