Job Summary

The Trade Compliancesupports customs and international trade compliance by ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of trade data across customs systems, broker platforms, and internal business applications. This role is responsible for validating trade data, supporting post-entry audits, preparing customs documentation, and assisting with duty recovery initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in trade compliance reporting, customs documentation, and data analysis.

Job Responsibilities



  • Maintain and monitor trade data quality across customs, broker, and internal systems.
  • Serve as a data steward by improving the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of trade-related data.
  • Validate importer information, duty amounts, tariff classifications, and customs-related data.
  • Support duty avoidance initiatives and compliance risk assessments.
  • Identify data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions to resolve data integrity issues.
  • Prepare documentation required for Protests and Post Summary Corrections (PSC).
  • Retrieve and organize customs entry documents from broker systems.
  • Gather USMCA documentation from internal business systems.
  • Collect Section 232 aluminum, steel, and copper purchasing data to support compliance activities.
  • Support post-entry audits by reviewing customs entries and validating compliance.
  • Assist with tariff refund calculations and preparation using Power BI.
  • Monitor tariff refund opportunities and track customs liquidation deadlines.
  • Collaborate with data management, customs, and trade compliance teams to resolve reporting and compliance issues.
  • Prepare compliance reports and provide analytical support for customs and trade initiatives.
  • Lead and prioritize trade data improvement efforts to enhance reporting accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements



  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in trade compliance, customs compliance, import/export operations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of customs compliance processes, post-entry activities, and trade documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using Power BI for reporting, analytics, and refund calculations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to validate and reconcile large datasets.
  • Experience working with customs broker systems and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) preferred.
  • Experience supporting Post Summary Corrections (PSC), protests, post-entry audits, and tariff refund activities preferred.
  • Familiarity with USMCA documentation and Section 232 trade requirements preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or a related field preferred.


Work Experience



  • Experience supporting customs compliance, import/export operations, or international trade compliance.
  • Experience with customs audits, post-entry reviews, protests, or Post Summary Corrections preferred.
  • Experience using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and customs broker systems for reporting and data analysis.
  • Experience working with ACE or comparable customs compliance systems is preferred.
