How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Director, Product & Technology Finance will serve as a strategic finance partner to SiriusXM's Product and Technology organization, providing financial leadership, insight, and rigor to support innovation and growth. The areas they will support is Chief Technology and Chief Advertising Product Officers and their respective departments. This role will directly influence investment decisions, resource allocation, and long-term planning across a fast-evolving technology and product landscape.

By driving financial transparency, operational efficiency, and data-driven, strategic decision-making, this role will help ensure that SiriusXM's product roadmap and technology investments are aligned with company strategy and deliver measurable value. The role establishes multi-year financial discipline, operating cadence, and decision frameworks that shape Product & Technology priorities and investment outcomes.

What you'll do:

Executive Partnership and Strategic Support

  • Serve as the primary finance partner to the Chief Technology and Chief Advertising Product Officers, influencing strategic decisions through trusted executive relationships and data-driven insights.
  • Lead meetings with well-developed agendas and executive-ready materials distributed in advance.
  • Deliver timely, actionable financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends impacting financial performance, working with business leadership to address in a timely manner.
  • Translate Product & Technology strategy into financial plans, investment tradeoffs, and operating priorities that align department objectives with broader company goals.
  • Represent the FP&A perspective in senior leadership forums for Chief Ad Product Officers orgs. Influence decisions on matters of significant financial and strategic impact.

Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Reporting

  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Corporate FP&A, Sourcing, Strategy, and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting alignment, and achievement of corporate objectives.
  • Wholly own all aspects of the long-range plan, budget, forecast, and monthly reporting processes for supported organizations; costs covering include operating and capital expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and business cases to evaluate product investments, technology initiatives, and resource allocation decisions. Identify cross functional impacts and partner with other FP&A teams to ensure business and investment case analysis appropriately capture consistent and measurable benefits.
  • Lead Product Development Process reviews, ensuring financial gate criteria are appropriately evaluated and approved.
  • Drive end-to-end coordination of deliverables, including project timelines, stakeholder reviews, and quality control.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and transparent reporting of financial drivers and assumptions.
  • Drive visibility into financial performance and key business trends to support leadership decision making.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance financial processes and reporting capabilities through automation, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled tools and technologies.
  • Own capitalization process for labor and capital projects.
  • Partner with leadership to establish and monitor KPI's that align with both financial goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish planning standards, review processes, and financial governance mechanisms that improve consistency, accuracy, and executive visibility across Product & Technology.

Team Leadership and Operational Excellence

  • Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team with strong accountability and execution discipline.
  • Establish robust review and validation processes to drive reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure timely actualization and maintenance of financial models and reporting tools.
  • Drive structured planning processes and operational coordination across stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop managers and/or senior finance professionals, setting direction, priorities, performance expectations, and operating standards for their team.
  • Provide leadership across one or more FP&A departments or workstreams, ensuring team goals, resource plans, and deliverables support Product & Technology and corporate strategy.
  • Create coaching moments with direct reports and cross-functional partners, building management capability, accountability, and succession strength within the finance organization.

Broad Product & Technology Support

  • Lead consolidation and reporting activities across the Product & Technology organization.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to enhance standardization and consistency of reporting deliverables across P&T FP&A teams.
  • Drive executive-level visibility into overall Product & Technology financial performance.
  • Direct financial analysis and recommendations that affect multi-year Product & Technology investment prioritization, capacity planning, and operating efficiency.

This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to influence strategic investment decisions and help shape the financial foundation of SiriusXM's next-generation product and technology ecosystem.

What you'll need:

  • The ideal candidate combines strong financial and analytical expertise with exceptional emotional intelligence, executive presence, and business partnership skills. This leader must be highly collaborative, capable of influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complex organizational dynamics, and leading teams through change. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex financial insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, coupled with a proven track record of developing strong executive partnerships, influencing key decisions, driving financial accountability, and delivering strategic business outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 12+ years of increasingly responsible positions within Finance / Accounting organizations, with at least 3-5 years of supporting a Product & Technology organization and 7+ years of management experience.
  • Proven experience managing budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and complex financial modeling processes.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
  • Experience supporting technology-focused organizations, including familiarity with software development, cloud infrastructure, capitalized software, and product investment economics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with enterprise planning and reporting systems such as Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan, SplashBI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leveraging automation and AI-based tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, or comparable technologies, to improve reporting efficiency, financial analysis, and decision support.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with strategic and forward-looking business acumen.
  • Demonstrated experience leading managers and/or senior professionals, establishing department-level priorities, and driving execution through teams.

Leadership Requirements:

  • This role includes direct people management accountability for a Product & Technology FP&A team, including leadership of managers and/or senior finance professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment in matrixed organizations without direct authority.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $176,800 to $213,100 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
