Description
As our Lead Balancing and Dispatch, you will play an important role in keeping the lights on for 45 million people. Our team takes on the critical and exciting challenge of dispatching and controlling over a thousand generating units of diverse fuel mix and technology to ensure continuous balance between MISO's load, generation, and interchange and to support the Eastern Interconnection frequency. Our Lead Balancing and Dispatch will lead our operators, ensure they are well-positioned to successfully execute in real-time, and are provided responsive and effective support. Additionally, our Lead Balancing and Dispatch will help maintain and grow MISO's system balancing and dispatch expertise as well as serve as an advocate and champion for our team inside and outside of the control room. The goal is to ensure reliable, efficient, and compliant execution of MISO's Dispatch and MISO's Balancing Authority (BA) functions, as well as positioning the functions to proactively adapt to changing operational and business landscape. Operating the electricity grid, running a robust energy market, planning for a bright future - it's what our immensely talented and dedicated team does every day. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $133,000.00 - $148,000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
