Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in business and process analysis, requirements gathering, and testing to support the evaluation and implementation of a new investment data platform.

The successful candidate will work with an Investment Decision Support (IDS) team responsible for managing investment data throughout its lifecycle. The team partners closely with investment stakeholders to understand business data needs, develop decision-support solutions, and continuously improve data quality, integrity, and availability. This role will support the assessment of current-state processes, data flows, and systems while helping define future-state capabilities aligned with strategic investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with investment stakeholders to document current-state business processes, systems, and data flows, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather business requirements for a new investment data platform.
  • Elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
  • Support the design of future-state workflows and operating models.
  • Develop an understanding of existing investment systems, data architecture, integrations, and dependencies.
  • Create and maintain documentation including:
    • Business requirements
    • Process maps
    • Current and future-state assessments
    • Data flow diagrams
  • Assist with data mapping, validation, and reconciliation activities during implementation.
  • Develop and execute testing plans, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Support change management, training, and transition activities.
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, and process improvement as the platform is implemented and stabilized.
  • Participate in additional strategic initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience in:
    • Business analysis
    • Requirements gathering and documentation
    • Business process improvement
    • Technical process analysis
    • Test planning and execution
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven experience creating technical documentation such as requirements documents and process maps.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience using reporting and data visualization tools such as:
    • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
    • Tableau
    • Power BI
  • Experience with Power Automate or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.
  • Experience within the investment management or financial services industry.
