Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Contract Administrator to work on our Acquisitions & Contracts Management team. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our EROB facility name in Idaho Falls, Idaho with every other Friday off.

Idaho National Laboratory's mission-critical research depends on efficient administrative operations, and as an Contract Administrator, you'll maintain the systems and processes that enable scientific breakthroughs in nuclear energy and national security.

You'll report to the Associate Director of the Acquisitions & Contracts Management team supporting management in tracking deliverable deadlines, creating and editing documents, coordinating task completion, performing data entry and verification in computer systems, and using specialized software to compile reports, statistics, timelines, and presentations.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining filing systems that protect personal and private information, interfacing with internal and external customers to meet organizational objectives, relaying information to stakeholders, and ensuring that critical materials such as reports, white papers, and agendas are created and distributed to support organizational deliverables.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support management and/or organization in the completion of administrative tasks and assignments, which may include tracking deliverable deadlines, filing records, creating and editing documents, coordinating task completion, data entry into computer systems, and confirming data.
  • Use software for the functional area to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations.
  • May design processes to enhance workflow.
  • Maintain filing systems of relevant hard copy records, protecting personal and private information. Types of records may include training, security, contracts, employment, personal health, safety, radiological, government, human resources, etc.
  • Interface with the organization's internal and external customers, providing quality customer service to meet organizational business needs and objectives.
  • Relay information to pertinent internal and external stakeholders to support the completion of organizational and/or management deliverables.
  • Ensure that needed materials (documents, reports, flyers, white papers, agendas, etc.) for management and/or organization are created and distributed to related stakeholders.

Required:

  • Level 3: Graduation from High School or equivalent and 4 years related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Job Information:

  • The pay range for this position is $22.93 min - $37.82max. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.

Physical Requirements:

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, operate a computer keyboard or type, handle materials, or reach with hands and arms performing the essential functions of the classification. The duties require sitting for long periods. The employee must occasionally lift 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this classification include

close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, conduct research and inspect materials. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing abilities required by this classification includes those which permit the employee to discern verbal instructions, communicate effectively in person, by telephone or electronic mail. While performing the duties of this classification, the employee works in an office setting where the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
