All about the role:

The Plant Health & Safety Specialist supports the planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with Electrolux, local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. This role is a member of the core Operations Sustainability team and reports to the Plant EHS & Operations Sustainability Director.

Where you'll be:

This position will be based in Springfield, TN.

What you'll do:

  • Plan and implement environmental, health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with Electrolux, local, state and federal Environmental (EPA/PROFEPA) and Safety (OSHA/STPS) rules and regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of associates and the plant with a focus on building our 'zero injury' culture.

  • Conducts safety training and maintains safety training records.

  • Participate in and lead various site safety teams.

  • Support updates to written safety programs and procedures including ISO 45001 documentation.

  • Lead and/or participate in investigation and root-cause analysis for accident or incidents as needed.

  • Supports the site in with emphasis on hazard recognition, job hazard analysis, risk mitigation.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in engineering, chemistry, environmental, industrial hygiene, or safety.

  • A minimum of 3 years of safety experience within manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of OSHA standards required.

  • Knowledge of ISO45001 standard preferred.

  • Must be able/willing to flex hours to cover all shifts according to business needs.

  • Must possess the personality, enthusiasm, and commitment to Electrolux core values and promotion of our safety culture.

  • Continuous Improvement mindset.

  • Strong computer, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
