Compensation:

* Base Pay Range: $30.66 - $50.01 per hour, based on experience

* Shift Differentials: Additional $3.00 per hour for call shift

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

* Articulate a precise understanding of the function and flow within a Picture Archival Communication System (PACS) in order to assist the PACS Administrator with database maintenance and support. Ability to generate and maintain technical diagrams and configuration settings as it relates to PACS.

* Assist with defining policies and procedures as they relate to PACS and its functionality. Review feedback from end users to analyze and compile support data in order to recommend procedural and educational changes as appropriate. Participate in meetings for installation of new equipment to ensure proper installation and integration expectations are met that are relevant to the information systems required for data to flow properly. Seek ways to improve systems and services.

* Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot interface issues from modality workstations to downstream information systems in order to prevent delays in patient care or the delivery of their results to the provider. Understand time clock expectations and adhere to attendance and punctuality guidelines. General knowledge and understanding of other radiology information systems (RIS, Speech Recognition, EMR).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Registration by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences at the time of hire. Successful candidates are expected to maintain registry status and continuing education requirements throughout employment. Strongly prefer Associates degree in bioscience, computer science, radiology science, information systems or related field of study. Bachelor's Degree in Radiological Science with advanced specialties such as (CT/MR) ARRT registration, ARDMS, NMTCB, ARMRIT, ACRRT are also preferred.

* Minimum 1-2 years professional work experience in the field of General Diagnostic X-ray, CT, MRI, Interventional radiology or other imaging modality. Experience with 3D software and/or multi-planar reformatting preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. This role may also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
