Patient Registration Representative *$16.00/hour* Full-Time | Multiple Shifts Available
Make a Difference From the Moment Patients Arrive Are you passionate about helping others and creating positive experiences during important moments in people's lives? We are seeking compassionate, customer-focused professionals to join our Patient Registration team. As a Patient Registration Representative, you are often the *first person patients and families encounter*. Your ability to provide a warm welcome, exceptional service, and accurate registration support plays a critical role in the patient experience. What You'll Do Emergency Department Registration * Welcome and assist patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment * Register walk-in patients and patients arriving by ambulance * Complete bedside registration using portable technology * Verify patient demographics and insurance information * Collect and update identification, insurance cards, and consent forms * Support self-pay processes for uninsured patients * Complete required documentation accurately and efficiently Outpatient & Clinic Registration * Provide a positive and welcoming check-in experience * Locate and register patients within the electronic medical record (EMR) system * Verify and update demographic information * Verify insurance coverage and eligibility * Schedule follow-up appointments * Support checkout processes and charge entry * Answer questions related to laboratory, pharmacy, and radiology services Main Admitting & Inpatient Registration * Support admissions and registration for various hospital services * Assist patients and families with hospital navigation and service questions * Complete insurance verification and patient registration * Travel to inpatient units for bedside registration when needed * Ensure all patient information is accurate and up to date Schedule This position may include rotating schedules, weekends, holidays, and varying shift lengths based on department needs. *Example Rotation:* *Week A* * Monday * Tuesday * Half-Day Friday * Saturday * Sunday *Week B* * Wednesday * Thursday * Half-Day Friday Qualifications Required 2+ years of work experience Strong customer service skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong computer and technology proficiency Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Preferred * Healthcare experience * Medical reception or patient registration experience * Front desk, hospitality, banking, retail, or administrative experience * Experience handling difficult situations and de-escalating concerns Physical Requirements This role may require: * Walking throughout the facility * Escorting patients and visitors * Pushing wheelchairs * Lifting and carrying light items * Moving between registration areas as needed Why Join Us?
