Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible or tenure-eligible Associate Professor or Professor for the role of Division Head in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation. The Division Head is responsible for all patient care, research, education, advocacy and administrative aspects of the division's work. As the leader of the division, the Division Head serves a critical role in defining and executing the division's strategic imperatives in the clinical, research, education, and advocacy domains. The individual in this role will oversee the division's work to deliver clinical excellence, accelerate research innovation, train the next generation of academic specialists, and advocate on behalf of children and families affected by cancer and blood disorders. The division head will also serve as the Head of the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders service line at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. The Division Head will lead the clinical care delivery and strategy. This individual will serve as the leader for all research activities and will be responsible for growing the division's research profile. Individuals with accomplishments in hematology, oncology, neuro-oncology or stem cell transplantation research are encouraged to apply. Candidates should have an interest in faculty and fellow mentorship, as a key responsibility is to support division members' career growth and development. The Division Head will support a culture of educational excellence and support faculty participation in the division's various fellowship programs as well as the institutions' medical education training programs. This individual will act as the representative in interactions with department leadership, hospital administration, external groups, and donors. The individual in this role is responsible for oversight of divisional operational, philanthropic, and grant funding in partnership with the Service Line Executive Director and Division Administrator. Qualified candidates will possess outstanding clinical and teaching skills, as well as clinical and administrative operations management experience. Candidates for the position will be board-certified in hematology/oncology. Salary is commensurate with rank and experience. The start date is negotiable and the position will remain open until filled. The expected base pay range for this position is $361,654 to $482,500. Lurie Children's and Northwestern University have provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree, training, and field or discipline; departmental budget availability; internal comparators; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
