  • Hillcrest Hospital South, a full-service 180-bed facility located in south Tulsa, offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services utilizing cutting-edge technology in a welcoming community environment. As the only DNV Orthopedic Center of Excellence (OCE) in Oklahoma, Hillcrest South stands out for its exceptional orthopedic care. The hospital's RN residency program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Practice Transition Accreditation Program and Pathway to Excellence, ensuring high-quality training for nurses.
  • Prepares, runs and logs routine ECG and rhythm strips.
  • Prepares and administers oxygen therapy utilizing nasal cannulas, masks, venturi marks, non-rebreathers, simple oxygen masks and oxygen hoods, heated high flow nasal cannulas.
  • (If nursery trained) Prepares and administers aerosol modalities using bland aerosols, Ezpap, and small volume nebulizers.
  • Performs and teaches Incentive Spirometry.
  • Interprets and reports vital signs and pulse oximetry as indicated.
  • Performs postural drainage and percussion.
  • Performs ventilator monitoring checks and changes ventilator circuits.
  • Osculates and identifies various breath sounds.
  • Performs allens test and arterial blood gases.
  • Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of Hillcrest South.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science (A.S. degree required/ B.S. degree preferred).
    NBRC credential as a RRT or new graduate that obtains RRT NBRC credential within 6 months of graduation and or a newly hired CRT that obtains RRT within 6 months of hire.
    Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Professional License as outlined by the OK Medical Board.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Must obtain ACLS, within 6 months of hire.
