This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, Tennessee, or Harrison, Arkansas. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight location several times per week.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Participate in the development, analysis and implementation of compensation programs, policies and administrative procedures. Assist in the administration of pay programs, review recommended changes to pay to ensure conformance to laws/regulations and internal policies. Provide guidance to assigned matrix group in areas of salary administration and interpretation of compensation programs, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide ongoing analytical and administrative support to the compensation team and serve as an effective business partner to internal customers, to include but not limited to, investigate compensation related issues and problems, analyze findings and provide counsel
  • Assist in the research, development, evaluation and implementation of compensation programs, policies and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing administrative support, to include but not limited to, performance evaluation process, incentive and recognition award programs Assist in the administration and coordination of the incentive including payouts
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendation for changes to all areas of compensation including, but not limited to, incentive compensation, geographical pay differential, pay increase budgets, pay ranges, and job evaluations/re-evaluations
  • Audit compensation related transactions for accuracy and compliance; review pay adjustment, job evaluation/re-evaluation and equity requests, conduct appropriate analyses and submit recommendations to compensation management for review/approval
  • Maintain and distribute monthly/quarterly/annual compensation related reports to leadership
  • Develop and/or revise job descriptions, conduct job evaluations and market pricing activities, maintain appropriate documentation, ensure appropriate FLSA classification; recommend survey participation, complete survey submissions, analyze incoming data, summarize results and submit recommendations
  • Develop and deliver internal communication and presentation materials pertaining to compensation programs and policies, etc.
  • Utilize HR software and programming to gather information and generate reports; implement and test human resources technology features related to compensation programs
  • Participate in assigned projects, including but not limited to; formulate timeline, coordinate resources, schedule meetings and monitor completion of tasks
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Finance, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline plus three (3) years in human resources, compensation, financial analysis, statistical analysis or other quantitative related experience
  • Experience in design, analysis and administration of compensation programs, preferred
  • Professional accreditation (CCP, PHR or SPHR) preferred
  • Proficient in various PC applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of management and employees
  • Must be detailed driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to summarize complex data and see the broader picture
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or Workday systems
  • Good analytical skills necessary to work on issues of diverse scope
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in team environment; team participation or work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize workflow with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of compensation related policies, practices, procedures and laws/regulations
  • Knowledge of State, Federal and local wage & hour laws
