About This Role
The Tim Taylor Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking a Fellow (Post Doc Res) to join Dr. Edgar's research team. This position involves researching the crystal growth of wide energy band gap semiconductors from molten metal solutions. The project will involve conducting experiments to determine the optimal metal solvents and their compositions that produce large crystals with specific electronic and optical properties. Subsequently, the crystals will be characterized to determine their morphologies, composition, and structural qualities. The post-doc must be able to write papers for publication that describe how the experiments were conducted, the conclusions drawn, and their implication for developing technologies. Worksite Description This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law.
