About the Position

The Temporary Training Coordinatoroversees arrangements and logistics for the training of elections support staff, assisting with training operations for over 2,000 poll workers across many locations. Reporting to the Training Manager, the Temporary Training Coordinator maintains course information, prepares and distributes materials, and corresponds with participants regarding course completion. This employee also supports trainers as needed.

We Require

  • Two years of experience performing office, administrative, and/or clerical duties
  • High school diploma or GED
  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Other Requirements

  • Must be a registered voter, or have the ability to become a registered voter, in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
  • Must pass an applicable background screening
  • Must be able to work irregular hours, overtime, and in shifts based on departmental needs

We Also Value

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite tools
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures, such as managing files and records
  • Experience in troubleshooting technical concerns
  • Experience supporting election activities and/or prior experience as an election worker
  • Comfortable communicating in a professional environment, including strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)

Job Contributions

  • Monitors training inbox, responds to emails from poll workers, and sends reminder emails for in-person trainings
  • Assists with building packets and binders with site-specific resources for inspectors, troubleshooters, and hotline workers
  • Assists with the maintenance of training records and a learning management system for poll workers, including password resets, online course assignments, attendance, and training surveys
  • Monitors voicemails and calls poll workers to assist with login issues or challenges completing online training

Working Conditions

Employees in this position typically work in an office or administrative environment and are not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.The work requires employees to use voting equipment, personal computers (desktops/laptops), headphones, an LMS, Microsoft Office products (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Workday, and other office equipment, such as printers, copiers, and laminators.
