The Senior Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst (PMHI) serves as a strategic analytics partner for the Pediatric Mental Health Institute (PMHI), providing advanced data analysis, performance reporting, and decision support across behavioral health, integrated care, ambulatory, emergency, inpatient, community-based, and primary care programs. The position is responsible for developing actionable insights, executive dashboards, workforce analytics, provider productivity reporting, funding stewardship reporting, and operational performance measures that support data-informed decision making across the service line.

This role functions as a subject matter expert in healthcare analytics, reporting governance, and clinical operations, partnering closely with faculty, clinical leaders, operational teams, finance, informatics, and executive stakeholders. The analyst develops sustainable reporting solutions across Epic and non-Epic data sources, supports management and reporting of restricted and grant-funded programs, and advances self-service analytics and performance accountability initiatives. The position requires the ability to translate complex data into meaningful recommendations, build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, and provide exceptional consultative support to advance PMHI strategic priorities.

Success in this role requires expertise in healthcare data systems, business intelligence tools, and healthcare analytics methodologies, including data extraction, validation, visualization, and performance measurement. The analyst is expected to lead complex reporting initiatives, support value-based care and integrated behavioral health reporting, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational, financial, workforce, and patient care outcomes across PMHI and its community partners.

Location: Aurora, CO

Job Status: Full-time, Salaried. On-Site

Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conducts complex data analysis and develops meaningful, accurate and dependable data reports, research registry forms, and dashboards.
  • Researches and promotes the use of new reporting tools and techniques.
  • Involved in the development, preparation and outcome tracking for clinical and operational performance metrics.
  • Gathers functional and technical requirements to design, build, test, deliver and manage data repositories, reporting, ETL, data warehouse, registry or data collection forms, and dashboarding functions.
  • Acts as liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders and end users.
  • Assumes on-call responsibilities as required.
  • Completes complex and intricate data extraction and manipulation to develop meaningful and actionable results. Devises, implements and supports ongoing sustainable data validation processes.
  • Collaborates with a variety of individuals and department teams to provide comprehensive analyses supporting organizational wide projects, programs, and initiatives. Works directly with departments and leadership to ensure best practices for data reporting and variable development. May work directly with solution and data architects to develop the bes solution for the business need.
  • Identifies data sources needed to produce required data sets or reports. May perform comprehensive data profiling on new data sources. Ensures delivered data solutions meet requirements. Collaborates with others to solve problems and obtain feedback on reports.
  • Prepares, analyzes and develops reports using a variety of different reporting tools. Develops regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports for end users and data quality management.
  • May perform primary and secondary research techniques to collect and build useful datasets, then performs quantitative analyses on them (using probabilistic and statistical methods, including modelling) to provide recommendations and support business decisions.
  • Manages, facilitates, and provides oversight for a variety of analytical projects from start to finish.
  • Provides project management, data analysis and support for collaborative work and major improvement initiatives.
  • Presents data-related progress updates and research findings to internal and external stakeholders, project teams, departments, and leadership. Creates data products, data visualizations and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, workforce analytics, provider productivity reporting, and operational performance measures that support strategic decision-making across behavioral health, integrated care, and primary care service lines.
  • Lead reporting and analytics for restricted, philanthropic, grant-funded, and other strategic funding initiatives, partnering with finance, sponsored programs, faculty, and operational leaders to support stewardship, accountability, and performance monitoring.
  • Serve as a strategic analytics consultant to clinical, operational, and executive leaders by integrating data from Epic and other healthcare systems, translating complex information into actionable insights, and advancing data governance, self-service reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • Bachelor of Science
  • Experience
    • Five (5) years of related experience required
    • Experience with healthcare analytics, dashboard reporting, and performance improvement methodologies preferred
    • Experience supporting behavioral health, pediatric healthcare, or academic medical center operations preferred
  • Equivalency
    • Combination of additional experience and education may substitute on a 1:1 year basis.
  • Preferred Epic and Analytics Proficiency
    • Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Cogito, Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, healthcare data warehousing, and multi-EHR data integration. This role may hold or obtain Epic analytics certifications and serves as a key resource for healthcare reporting best practices and data governance.
  • Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong project and program management skills.
      Ability to influence without direct authority across diverse stakeholder groups.
      Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a highly complex environment.

Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $94,871.97 to $142,307.96
