What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a results-driven and people-focused Associate Manager - Operationsto lead Material Flow and Material Handling teams within the Production Control organization. This role is critical to ensuring smooth inbound and outbound material movement, optimal equipment utilization, and effective coordination across internal stakeholders and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep operational knowledge, and the ability to drive process standardization and cross-functional execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do
  • Leada team of supervisors overseeing day to day operations as well as long term process development for the production control department
  • Manage headcount planning, training schedules, cross-shift coordination, and performance feedback
  • Foster a strong safety culture through training, audits, and direct coaching; enforce proper PPE usage and 5S practices
  • Leadstandard work, KPI tracking, continuous improvement, and throughputmonitoringsystems to drive operations execution
  • Leverage system tools (WARP, MOS, MFS, Power BI) to monitor route performance, cycle times, and downtime events
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on labor efficiency, equipment optimization, and material presentation
  • Provide support to Engineering / Operations / Inventory control / Production / Quality / Logistics / NPI in all formats dependent on business need and maturity

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management,
    Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in material handling or factory operations, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
  • Proven experience managing frontline teams in high-paced manufacturing or logistics environments
  • Proficiency in WMS (e.g., WARP, MOS, MFS), and data tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle conflict, coach frontline teams, and escalate effectively
  • Strong time management and decision-making under dynamic shopfloor conditions
