| Position Purpose |
Reporting to the Program Director for the
COBRE Institute for Biomolecular Targeting (bioMT), the Dartmouth Cystic Fibrosis Research Center (DartCF), and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Research Development Program (
CFF
RDP), the Program Administrator will provide specialized project management support to the leadership and members of each complex multi-project grant and educational program. |

Teamwork: Ability to work highly effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Communication: Demonstrated excellent writing and communication skills, with a strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to set priorities, respond to high-pressure deadlines, and adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
AI & Technology Integration: Demonstrated ability or strong aptitude to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) tools and generative technologies into daily work responsibilities to optimize administrative workflows, improve productivity, and streamline project tracking.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of grant development, research administration, and compliance.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic experience with website content management systems (CMS) and social media.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Three or more years of experience with grant preparation and management.
- Three or more years of direct experience developing and managing educational or training programs.
- Proven success working with faculty members, scientific researchers, and administrative staff in support of grants and educational programming.
- Project management certification such as PMP or CAPM is highly desirable.

Project Management and Execution
- Identify, refine, operationalize, and track programmatic objectives and activities across research centers, institutes, and related initiatives.
- Implement and manage multiple large, complex projects, including multi-project grant submissions and awards, as well as administrative and scientific core structures.

- Draft administrative sections of grant proposals for leadership review and manage submission processes for new applications, renewals, and annual progress reports.
- Triage and resolve research administration issues while ensuring compliance with sponsor, regulatory, and institutional requirements.

Financial Operations
- Support backend operations of research cores and assist in executing financial and cost-recovery models for new and existing initiatives, including educational programming.
- Partner with fiscal offices, operations directors, and sponsored projects offices to ensure compliance with grant and institutional guidelines.

Data and Core Management
- Create and maintain a central repository for program-related data.
- Collect, organize, and track data needed for annual progress reports, surveys, and grant renewals, including trainee progress, educational program outcomes, and participant feedback.
- Assist in the creation and management of research cores within institutional tracking systems and oversee usage report generation and distribution to participating labs.

- Serve as the primary liaison with internal and external constituents on behalf of the program.
- Design and implement outreach and promotional efforts to market services, educational opportunities, and training programs while supporting collaboration and institutional commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Manage and update program websites, social media channels, listservs, and institutional communication platforms.
