| Primary Purpose of the Organization: |
The
Bronco One Stop is a centralized space where students can access common student services to enhance their ability to navigate Fayetteville State University. The goal of Bronco One Stop is to enhance the student experience with the application process, academic records, financial aid, making payments, speaking with an advisor to register for classes, and gaining assistance with degree planning, receiving academic support, and navigating university resources. |
| Primary Purpose of the Position: |
The One Stop University Program Associate will serve as the first contact, triaging student needs and assessing their challenges to help students receive the needed support. The position provides start-to-finish One Stop services to students and families involving simple and complex issues using sound judgment and discretion, working with minimal supervision. Investigate, problem-solve, and resolve questions and issues from current students across a wide variety of topics ranging from general inquiries about academic programs to specific knowledge about student processes and procedures. Utilize electronic and paper resources to retrieve information needed to respond to student questions. Ensure that information and concerns are accounted for using established procedures and handled with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
This position is funded by non state funding. Continuation of this position is contingent upon the continuing availability of those non-state funds. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
| Knowledge skills and abilities: |
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
- The Bronco One-Stop Associate must work on-site.
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to educate customers on various tasks and processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other offices.
- Ability to assess and find solutions to a variety of customer issues and needs.
- Attention to detail and record keeping.
- Ability to multitask, follow through on assigned projects, and work in a fast-paced environment as a team member.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations and provide customer care.
- Ability to access, review, compile, and analyze multiple sources of data and information to generate appropriate criteria for communicating to customers.
