A Brief Overview
Reporting to the Executive Director, Enterprise and Executive Events, this position will be accountable for a distinct subset of the department's two differentiated event portfolios - Foundation (high-profile donor cultivation and stewardship) & Enterprise (events and programs that communicate and enhance the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's reputation for excellence). This role will regularly, directly collaborate with executive leadership and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that all events are delivered at the highest standard. This position requires an extremely organized collaborator who will oversee multiple, high-visibility projects, simultaneously.

What you will do

  • Accountable for the outcome of events within portfolio, ensuring they meet business objectives, budgetary constraints, and high-quality standards. * Ensure the alignment of all stakeholder priorities while leading the planning, coordination, and execution of all portfolio events.
  • Empowered to lead high-level communication and strategic collaboration directly with the CEO, CDO, Board members, CEO Council, Executive Leadership, and high-profile individuals.
  • Demonstrate independent and proactive decision making in high-pressure, high-profile situations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, venues, and partners. Negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and ensure high-quality service.
  • Drive innovation in event concepts, formats, and experiences while partnering to develop and implement event strategies that align with the Enterprise's goals.
  • Support the department in maintaining financial stewardship by assisting with budget management, monitoring expenditures, and proactively engaging in the optimization of financial policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and optimization of the department's technology solutions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the Executive Director, Enterprise and Executive Events, with ad hoc strategic initiatives

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of fundraising, corporate sponsorship, cause-related marketing or special events experience Required

  • Intermediate proficiency with customer relationship management software (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge)
  • Intermediate proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office)
