Boys Town is seeking a collaborative and mission focused Chief Medical Officer to provide strategic clinical leadership and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care throughout the hospital and clinics.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve on the hospital senior executive leadership team, to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Coordinate the functions of the medical staff and assist in the implementation and enforcement of the hospital bylaws and policies.
  • Provide organization and system leadership for assigned medical initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, developing recommendations and business plans.
  • Serve on the Medical Executive Committee as a voting member. Facilitate key functions surrounding credentialing, Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Profession Practice Evaluation (OPPE).
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention of medical staff members and in the development and refinement of medical services to meet the needs of patients and families.
  • Provide medical oversight of clinical services in all areas of the hospital and serve as the Sleep Lab Medical Director.
  • Review and advise hospital leadership on the measurement and achievement of clinical quality indicators and review, analyze, and monitor medical occurrences.

What You Bring:

  • Licensure in the State of Nebraska as a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent,
  • Minimum of ten years physician experience, with Board Certification in a medical or surgical specialty,
  • Minimum of five years of physician leadership experience,
  • A comprehensive knowledge of medical and healthcare facility operations and programs.
