Job Overview
- Work safely and effectively in extreme weather conditions.
- Follow a 4-on/4-off rotation with primarily 13-hour shifts, in accordance with fatigue management guidelines.
- Monitor GET inventory and coordinate supplies to minimize equipment downtime.
- Safely handle and move GET components, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Troubleshoot equipment and inventory issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Assist with equipment repairs, gearbox rebuilds, and component maintenance.
- Inspect, clean, and sort parts for reuse or scrap.
- Promote a safe, team-oriented work environment.
- Work independently and collaboratively with internal teams, mine operations, and vendors.
- Deliver excellent customer service and support continuous improvement and learning.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Experience with welding, cutting, and heavy equipment repairs.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand and pneumatic tools, including grinders and hammers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Current MSHA certification and valid driver's license required.
- Strong commitment to safety and the Komatsu Safety First culture.
| Technical Skill Requirements |
- Proficient in welding and cutting techniques applicable to heavy equipment maintenance.
- Experience utilizing a variety of hand tools accurately and safely, including grinders and pneumatic tools.
- Active MSHA certification to ensure compliance with mine safety standards.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical prints and schematics to facilitate repairs and maintenance.

| Physical Requirements |
- Capable of vertical lifting tasks up to 150 pounds using safe lifting techniques and equipment where necessary.
- Frequent carrying, pushing, and pulling activities requiring upper body strength and endurance.
- Repetitive tasks involving coupling and precise manual operations.
- Ability to climb ladders and steps safely during maintenance operations.
- Adaptable to working outdoors in proximity to heavy mobile equipment (HME) under various environmental conditions.
- Maintain balance and coordination during activities that involve repetitive postures, static positioning, walking, kneeling, overhead reaching, and bending.

| Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Requirements |
- Maintain current MSHA certification and a valid driver's license.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examinations to ensure fitness for duty.
- Promote and practice the Komatsu Safety First attitude by consistently applying safety rules and procedures.
- Participate actively in safety initiatives, including hazard identification, safety observations, and reporting to sustain a zero-incident workplace.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate's degree or Millwright certification preferred; equivalent mechanical experience considered.
- 1-2 years of mechanical experience with strong troubleshooting and hands-on repair skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
- Familiarity with trade math and precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, laser aligners, etc.).
- Flexible to support varying shift schedules and operational needs.
- Eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
