General Job Description: Reporting to the JDE Manager, the Senior Functional Analyst (FA) is responsible for providing leadership to the Business Process Owners regarding business requirement development and problem definitions. Based on those business objectives, the role is responsible for analyzing solution alternatives - including risk assessment, ROI, ongoing administrative & maintenance implications, resource availability, etc. The role is responsible for documenting solutions in various ways, including the creation of functional & development specifications, testing scripts, processes and procedures, user guides, etc. This role is responsible for successfully implementing configuration and business changes in the JD Edwards Systems along with ancillary, interfaced systems. The Sr FA works closely with IT and across Business teams to implement best practice enterprise processes. The successful Sr. FA must have a deep understanding of IT Enterprise process and be able to promote best practices across a complex enterprise. The FA should have skills in JDE configuration, data migration and integration processes. Strong oral and written communication skills are critical for this position, as this person will be representing the department both vertically and horizontally. These skills will be utilized to work with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate value through prototypes, documents and presentations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to identify and define business problems, document, analyze, consider alternatives, and recommend solutions.
  • Protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and maintain documentation related to PII and data security.
  • Assist in defining business requirements in detail, and translating those business requirements into configuration of the JDE system and ongoing maintenance and support of the configuration.
  • Guide the analysis and assessment of proposed enhancements and on-going production support issues for Business and IT teams.
  • Lead the adoption of standard business processes. Work with business units and acquisitions to successfully implement processes across ACCO.
  • Implement processes that are accurate, streamlined, and well documented with an emphasis on providing timely and accurate data to the business.
  • Assume responsibility for the long-term maintenance of functional specs. Work to direct and maintain business requirements with the Business Analysts.
  • Work with technical teams to develop prototypes and solutions to demonstrate capabilities to ACCO Business units and customers.
  • Develop testing scripts and perform QA testing activities, and then engage and assist key business stakeholders in performing User Acceptance Testing
  • Prepare User Guides for new system functions to clarify how new functions operate, and document pertinent background information
  • Adhere to the Enterprise SDLC processes to design, build, test, and implement reporting applications.
  • Independently run small projects, leading application, infrastructure and business resources utilizing the SDLC model
  • Mentor others in following good process, creating standard documentation, offer viewpoints and solution alternatives, etc.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor and/or ACCO management.

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business teams. This includes leadership in acquisitions.

Travel: 0 -5% of the time to and from the primary and regional offices

Competitive Wages:

$133,000 to $171,500 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
