About the opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants is actively seeking an Assistant Staff Civil Engineer to join our growing Jacksonville, FL team supporting renewable energy projects nationwide. In this role, you will support a variety of civil engineering efforts focused on site civil solar development, erosion and sediment control design, stormwater management, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling. Our renewable energy portfolio spans projects across the United States, providing the opportunity to work on impactful, large-scale developments while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Staff Civil Engineer, you will contribute to engineering design, preparation of construction drawings, technical analyses, and project coordination efforts across multiple projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to grow professionally while working alongside experienced technical experts and project teams. This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits and a flexible hybrid work environment. Candidates residing within driving distance of the Jacksonville, Florida office will be considered for this opportunity, as the selected candidate will be expected to work in the office several days per week. An employee in this Jacksonville, Florida based position can expect an hourly pay rate between $26.75/hour to $36.51/hour. Actual pay within this range will depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law.Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
