Enjoy the scenery and become a Bus Driver for Placer County! Placer County Department of Public Works is now hiring Bus Drivers for Auburn/South Placer and Tahoe/Truckee locations! This position involves the transportation of public passengers throughout the County. Additional duties include scheduling, assisting passengers in entering and exiting the vehicle, collecting fares, operating a two-way radio, and conducting vehicle safety inspections. *Signing Bonus Permanent positions in this classification are eligible for a signing bonus of up to $2,000. *Salary plus up to an additional $1,100 per month Tahoe Branch Assignment Premium for employees who are permanently assigned to a position located in the North Lake Tahoe Area. EXPERIENCE Bus Driver I: None required. Bus Driver II: One year of responsible paid driving experience involving the carrying of TRAINING Bus Driver I: Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and Bus Driver II: Successful completion of the experience requirement is proof of sufficient LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE Bus Driver I: Possession of a valid Class C, and the ability to obtain a valid Commercial Class A or Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
