Job Description:

Essential Duties:

• Operates and maintains fuel and lube trucks.
• Performs fueling and lubing of production equipment.
• Washes major equipment, using the permanent wash facilities as well as portable steam cleaner.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance such as changing oil, greasing and replacing components.
• Dismantles and reassembles equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Reads blueprints and follows service manuals and parts lists.
• Utilizes work orders and requisitions for ordering parts and maintenance repairs.
• Maintains work area in a safe and clean manner.
• Performs job duties in accordance with MSHA law and regulations, established company safety procedures and State and Federal environmental regulations.

Other Duties:

• Operates light vehicles to travel throughout the mine site.
• Operates the equipment to diagnose problems and to test operate after repair.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Background in repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including ability to read, understand and use electronic diagnostic tools, prints and manuals. Knowledge of mechanical, i.e. engine, transmission, drive train; pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and air conditioning systems.

Education, Training and Experience:

High school diploma or GED required, with vocational training preferred.
