Join a leading technology company at the forefront of innovation, partnering with Aquent, a global leader in talent solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and longevity of cutting-edge hardware within our client's advanced infrastructure. This is your chance to directly impact the quality and performance of essential systems, contributing to seamless operations and continuous technological advancement.

**About the Role**

As a Manufacturing Engineer focused on quality assurance, you will be instrumental in minimizing damage and maximizing the lifespan of critical hardware components. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining the high standards of our client's infrastructure, ensuring that vital systems operate flawlessly. You'll be on the front lines, inspecting, testing, and repairing components, and driving initiatives to uphold the integrity of our hardware ecosystem.

**What You'll Do**

Your day-to-day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on inspection, testing, and process improvement:

* Perform specialized damage inspections and execute repairs on critical hardware components.

* Conduct quick testing for re-inventory Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), processing approximately 100 boards weekly.

* Verify reported damage on parts, ensuring accuracy for up to 100 parts per week, preventing good products from being misidentified.

* Execute essential repairs, including cleaning thermal paste from processors, straightening bent connectors, and replacing missing components like processor carrier frames and dust covers.

* Assist site leadership in proactive damage reduction efforts through spot checks of handling, packaging, and storage processes in various staging areas.

* Support the damaged parts process, ensuring verified damaged parts are quarantined and segregated from usable inventory.

* Identify and escalate issues contributing to part damage, driving continuous improvement.

* Provide crucial support for key field campaigns and failure investigations.

* Conduct periodic audits of handling, ESD processes, and packing methods across different touch points.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.

* 3+ years of experience in a technical field.

* General knowledge of electronic parts and components used in infrastructure hardware (e.g., motherboards, DIMMs, hard drives, network cards, optic components).

* Ability to perform 1st Level Failure Analysis (FA) for electronic parts.

* Familiarity with typical mechanical defects of electronic components and hardware.

* Comfort with sitting for extended periods (several hours at a time) for detailed inspection of electronic parts and components.

* Experience with simple inspection equipment such as stereo microscopes and ring lights.

* Proficiency in using a PC for data recording and reporting.

* Ability to write clear process instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

* Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with and influence others.

* Physical capability for medium to heavy materials handling (e.g., lifting, pushing/pulling).

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications**

Ideal candidates will also bring:

* Quality Assurance background within the electronics industry.

* Experience in troubleshooting and repair of server, storage, and networking products.

* Knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
