As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Dothan, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support site operations through strong communication and customer service. In this visible role, you will help to discourage security-related incidents while bringing a caring, reliable approach, working with integrity and teamwork to deliver a professional experience every day.

Pay Rate: $16.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with site procedures and access protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document irregularities, incidents, and screening-related findings in required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or conditions that may require attention.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
