We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Portfolio Manager to lead business growth, customer engagement, and capture activities across the rapidly evolving LEO market. This role will serve as the company's focal point for identifying, qualifying, and pursuing opportunities related to commercial space and civil space operating in the LEO ecosystem, while supporting the company's broader growth strategy in partnership with the Vice President of Growth.

The LEO Portfolio Manager will work cross-functionally with services, program management, corporate functions, and executive leadership to drive pipeline development, strategic partnerships, and successful captures aligned with company growth objectives.

Responsibilities

The LEO Portfolio Manager will:

Business Development & Capture

    Maintain awareness of market dynamics, competitor activity, and procurement pipelines
  • Advise leadership on strategic investments, partnerships, and positioning opportunities
  • Build and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities within the LEO domain
  • Lead capture activities for strategic pursuits from qualification through proposal submission
  • Develop win strategies, teaming approaches, and customer engagement plans
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions with clear assessments of win probability, strategic fit, and resource requirements
  • Coordinate closely with proposal and technical teams to ensure compelling and compliant submissions
  • Contribute to long-range growth planning and annual revenue forecasting

Customer & Partner Engagement

  • Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, commercial customers, primes, and industry partners
  • Represent the company at conferences, industry forums, and customer engagements
  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships that expand market access and technical capabilities


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Aerospace, or related field, plus seven (7) years of experience in business development, capture, program management, or growth strategy within the aerospace or defense industry
  • Demonstrated experience supporting, leading, and winning pursuits in the LEO, space, or government sectors
  • Strong understanding of the commercial space and/or government acquisition environment
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Experience managing complex pursuits and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a lean and entrepreneurial environment
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline

Preferences:

  • Existing relationships within NASA, DoW, SDA, Space Force, commercial space operators, or international space organizations
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS contracting environments

Essential Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
