SUMMARY: The Patient Scheduler reports to the Office Manager, performing a variety of clerical, scheduling and recordkeeping duties. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answers telephone/intercom calls, routes calls and/or takes messages, initiates telephone calls, as requested. BASIC KNOWLEDGE: High school graduate plus one year formal training, or equivalent. Typing/data entry required. EXPERIENCE: Two years' clerical experience preferably in health care environment. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal office environment. Requires standing, bending, and sitting. Sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to use computer keyboard and other common office equipment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
