Executive Service DATA ANALYTICS SPECIALIST- SENIOR Tennessee Department of Corrections Planning Division Nashville, TN Salary: $78,528 - $124,356.00 Closing Date: 06/01/2026Who we are and what we do: The mission of the Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) is to operate safe and secure prisons and provide effective community supervision in order to enhance public safety. The department manages and operates or oversees 14 state prisons housing approximately 21,000 offenders. In addition, the department supervises some 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community correction and operates six Day Reporting/Community Resource Centers across the state. The department is fully accredited by the American Correctional Association (ACA). Job Overview: Senior Data Analytics Specialists at the Tennessee Department of Correction play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision making across the agency. This position is responsible for extracting, analyzing, validating, and reporting data to inform both operational and strategic initiatives by leveraging complex queries and advanced analytics using SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, and other platforms to produce high-quality statistical outputs and comprehensive reports. This role creates and distributes data reports to internal and external business users, ensuring reporting design and methods are as efficient as possible. This may include changing how data is gathered, how it is fashioned into a report, and how it is delivered to users as technological advances allow new efficiencies in these areas. This role interprets data to identify meaningful patterns and trends and communicates these insights clearly to stakeholders along with providing broad data and analytics support to multiple business units. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in quantitative or related discipline AND 2 or more years of relevant professional work experience. OR A Master's degree in a quantitative or related discipline.
