Here's what we're looking for.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred
- Master's degree is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive EHS experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance regulations
- Proven experience leading EHS programs within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic and proactive mindset
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all organizational levels
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the company's EHS strategy in alignment with organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, federal, and company safety regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide and site-specific EHS programs, policies, and procedures
- Mentor and support EHS personnel across multiple locations, promoting professional development and regulatory awareness
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations while ensuring timely corrective actions
- Develop and track EHS KPIs, dashboards, and reporting metrics for senior leadership
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections, inquiries, and permitting activities
- Partner with operations and facilities teams to maintain effective fire, life safety, and environmental controls
- Lead safety committees and promote proactive safety initiatives, behavioral safety programs, and accountability systems
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives
- Manage EHS-related budgets, capital projects, vendors, and safety equipment programs
- Provide technical guidance to leadership regarding compliance, risk mitigation, and best practices
- Coach employees and leaders to reinforce a culture of environmental health and safety excellence
