Position Summary

Supports the development and management of Information Technology systems or services. Assists business unit implementation of such systems and services.

  • The Digital & IT Business Systems Team is seeking a dynamic team member to lead the Supply Chain Technical Team.
  • Directs the development, technical, and data aspects of Parker's Global Supply Chain team including Supplier Facing Technologies (PHconnect, Supplier Portal, Supply Chain Management Portal, Ariba), Logistics & Global Trade (Precision, PTM, Loftware), and Planning (eCapacity/eProcurement, Logility).
  • Works with Supply Chain Leadership, Division staff, and other Corporate leaders to deliver world class supply chain systems to our suppliers and supply chain leaders.
  • Manages a team of full-time Parker resources and a large offshore development team. Maintains operational relationships with vendors, division leadership and corporate resources.
  • Seeking a thought leader and change agent. Candidate must be a high energy, process driven individual with great influencing skills.

Essential Functions

  • Implements and maintains I/T systems and services.

  • Maintains these systems and services to be efficient and effective.

  • Creates standards for I/T systems and services to provide flexibility and maintainability.

  • Provides training materials and education to users of these systems.

  • Provides information to be used to promote the understanding and benefit of technology systems.

  • Directs the planning and scheduling of development and implementation of I/T capabilities.

  • Identifies deficiencies in I/T systems and recommends solutions/improvements.

  • Train and develop staff to support I/T systems.

  • Provide guidance to employees on personal development needs and opportunities.

  • Provides information to management identifying personnel, hardware and software needs to provide appropriate levels of systems and services within the corporation.

  • Identifies organizational issues and recommends modifications/improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    This position may be assigned (but is not limited to) one of the following key information technology disciplines and/or services:

  • Directs the development, technical, data, and management aspects of Parker's Global Supply Chain team including Supplier Facing Technologies (PHconnect, Supplier Portal, Supply Chain Management Portal, Ariba), Logistics & Global Trade (Precision, PTM, Loftware), and Planning (eCapacity/eProcurement, Logility).
  • Lead offshore project management team to ensure development is timely and successful.
  • Lead team to develop and revise release notes, product literature and technical bulletins.
  • Demonstrate expertise as digital counsel in evaluations and recommendations of new product opportunities.
  • Develop technical requirements and product specifications as required.
  • Identify organizational issues and recommend modifications/improvements.
  • Interact with functional team leaders to provide input into product design and quality enhancement.
  • Manage prioritization of key projects.
  • Provide guidance to team members on personal development needs and opportunities.
  • Responsible for the delivery of the Supply Chain roadmap.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodology.
  • Leads product planning and requirements gathering for new features and improvements.
  • Work directly with leadership to develop and implement productivity and process improvements using Digital IT tools.
  • Responsible for working with division, group, and corporate resources to implement best practices.
  • Lead Digital & IT High-Performance Teams and develop metrics to track digital automation initiatives and improvements.
  • Provide consultation to locations in the understanding and evaluation of technology and its application to the business supply chain needs.
  • Identify and recommend to senior management improvements that can be made to enterprise systems and services.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to deploy these services as required.
  • Assist with the development of yearly budgets.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • University Degree (or international equivalent)

  • Managerial experience and significant Project Leader experience

  • 8+ Years Experience in IT

  • 4+ Years Experience with SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric and Databricks

  • Experienced in designing, developing, and deploying SSIS packages, including ETL processes, control/data flow, error handling, and performance tuning

  • Supply Chain experience is a plus

  • Professionalism: Excellence, timeliness and completeness of work, responsible, team attitude, quality of presentation.

  • Managerial skills: Supervision and coaching, customer service, planning, organization, oral /written communication

  • Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization

  • APICS certification is a plus
