DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
This position leads the daily operation of a full-service print and design shop while ensuring high quality production and efficient workflows. The role also supports customers by guiding projects from concept through final delivery. As a Print Production and Design Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Production Oversight: Direct print shop operations, review work requests, and ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects
- Design Leadership: Create layouts, select formats, and prepare final designs for a wide range of printed materials
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain digital press and bindery equipment and complete basic repairs when needed
- Team Supervision: Guide staff, assign tasks, evaluate performance, and provide training on equipment and safety practices
- Customer Coordination: Meet with customers, clarify project needs, and provide updates on work progress and results
- Records And Billing: Maintain job records, track costs, and ensure billing is accurate and completed on time

- Full-time employment (7.5 hours per day; 37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
- One year as a Print Production Technician; or
- One year as a Mail Production Team Leader; or
- Two years of experience in the operation of print or mail insertion equipment or similar machinery used in a print or mail production facility; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have at least one year of experience as a Graphic Designer.
- You must have experience in design and/or working with the Adobe suite.
- You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience in digital press production printing
- Experience with supervisory oversight of employees
- Experience with purchasing regulations and requirements
- Experience in mail and/or packaging requirements and regulations
- Ability to lift at least 60 pounds
