Overview

The Mechanical Engineer contributes to the design and delivery of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems for a wide range of building projects. Working as part of Parkhill's MEP/S team, this role develops engineering calculations, prepares design documents, and collaborates with architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to produce coordinated, high-quality solutions. The Mechanical Engineer is also involved in project planning, technical documentation, and construction administration efforts while helping deliver practical, sustainable designs that serve clients and communities. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on a salary basis.

Responsibilities

    Prepare reports, plans, construction schedules and studies for review
  • Interface with Clients when appropriate alongside Project Managers
  • Visit construction sites to observe progress and determine general conformance to engineering plans and specifications
  • Direct technicians and EIT's for production of engineering documents for routine projects accurately and efficiently
  • Research design criteria, regulations, and standards as they relate to projects and incorporate them into design documents
  • Mentor others in the proficient use of design software


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Passed the Professional Engineer exam and can provide a PE #
  • Previous mechanical building design experience in a consultant capacity
  • The ability to use Revit/BIM is required and ability to use Trane Trace 3D is preferred
