Position Purpose
To provide curricular and administrative support for implementation and delivery of courses in the Geisel School of Medicine's Phase 1 pre-clerkship curriculum for MD students. Partners with faculty course leaders to support ongoing monitoring, review, and revision of the curriculum. Contributes to academic operations that deliver a personal, connected and transformative learning experience for students.

Key Accountabilities


Description
Course Development, Technology and Implementation

  • Partner with course leaders and instructional team members to plan, prepare, and oversee course delivery from inception through implementation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for teaching faculty and students, providing expert support on course logistics, instructional materials, and scheduling.
  • Proofread materials and respond to faculty inquiries for services and other activities associated with achieving academic support priorities.
  • Build and maintain course environment in the Canvas Learning Management System and is accountable for accurately monitoring the delivery of the content.
  • Manage academic courses builds in OASIS, ensuring accuracy of curriculum inventory, faculty session records, small group assignments, and session recordings.
  • Support accreditation compliance by maintaining thorough documentation of session objectives, content coverage, and assessment methods.
  • Facilitate course sessions through proficient use of virtual meeting platforms and classroom technology tools.
  • Oversee room reservations and the resolution of scheduling conflicts.
  • Develop and administer Qualtrics-based course surveys in collaboration with faculty.

  • Proctor examinations and review sessions while ensuring proper implementation of student accommodations and established protocols.
  • Perform administrative functions in support of assessment operations.
  • Identify and propose opportunities for continuous improvement of assessment procedures.

Description
Communication and Project Support

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for students and faculty regarding Phase 1 pre-clerkship curriculum questions and concerns.
  • Coordinate and contribute to curriculum committee meetings and other curricular discussions.
  • Support institutional initiatives and student-facing events through scheduling, coordination, and materials distribution.
  • Handle confidential student and faculty information with discretion in accordance with FERPA guidelines.
  • Apply and communicate institutional policies and procedures relevant to the role.
