Job Duties: Associate, Product Controllers with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Perform daily, weekly, monthly profit and loss (P&L) analyses for Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities (FICC) and Equity businesses. Analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) around trading activity and risk positions to highlight significant items to senior management and prepare P&L commentary. Liaise with Trading Desk and Operations teams to ensure transactions are booked appropriately and to facilitate the resolution of any issues (P&L discrepancies) that may arise in a timely manner. Perform daily balance sheet analyses for FICC and equities businesses. Perform independent price verification procedures monthly to ensure the inventory is held at fair value.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or a related field, such as Financial Econometrics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting or a related field, such as Financial Econometrics and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master's degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with the following: financial reporting and contributing to Income statement and Balance Sheet preparation; driving process improvements, generating innovative ideas and translating strategy to execution for core activities including P&L reconciliation and review; performing ad hoc analyses to improve funding efficiency, understand balance sheet and P&L flux, valuation and pricing for management or external reporting; and Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint as well as self-service reporting tools/applications.
