Job Summary The Resource Coordinator is responsible for the execution and overall unit level collaboration with Grady's Auxiliary Services including, but may not be limited to: IT, food services, housekeeping/linen, BioMed, Supply Distribution, sterile processing, clinical engineering, security and facilities. This position will also assist with JCAHO readiness, audits, and recommendations. The purpose of this position is to reduce job barriers, reduce job burnout, and increase staff retention/satisfaction as well as aid in maintaining regulatory standards. Responsibilities:
IT / Epic / Equipment / Biomed
- Coordinate and streamline IT support requests for unit-based issues to ensure timely resolution
- Troubleshoot and assist with functionality of IT and clinical equipment
- Conduct daily rounding on scanners, printers, and other healthcare technology devices to ensure operational readiness
- Manage biomedical equipment inventory and maintain accurate asset tagging within FindItNow
- Support preventative maintenance initiatives and assist with equipment inventory management
- Ensure stretchers and wheelchairs are clean, functional, and readily available for patient care
ARJO & Mobility Equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of ARJO and patient mobility equipment
- Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed to maintain safe patient handling standards
Joint Commission Readiness / Housekeeping / Linen
- Maintain Joint Commission readiness through proactive environmental and safety rounding
- Ensure staff access to linen carts and verify linen carts are fully operational and appropriately stocked
- Conduct environmental rounds to identify safety concerns, submit work orders, and communicate issues to leadership
- Maintain hallway and unit compliance with fire and life safety standards
- Verify bed and chair alarm functionality to support patient safety initiatives
Food Services & Nutrition Support
- Collaborate with Food Services to identify and resolve unit-based concerns in a timely manner
- Ensure soiled tray collection carts are available on the unit during meal service times
- Order and maintain floor stock supplies as needed
- Maintain nutrition areas in a clean, organized, and compliant manner
- Monitor and discard expired food or nutrition items
- Coordinate ordering, stocking, and organization of nutritional supplies
- Maintain daily floor stock and refrigerator temperature logs in accordance with regulatory standards
Supply & Inventory Management
- Partner with Supply Chain and Storeroom teams to maintain appropriate PAR levels for unit supplies
- Obtain and distribute supplies to support daily operations and patient care needs
- Monitor supply availability and proactively address shortages to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- HS or GED
- 1+ Years Job related experience including IT/Biomed and Supply room knowledge
