Position Summary: Responsible for providing administrative and regulatory support to the Flight Standards organization and Standards Captains. Supports coordination and tracking of FAA-required observations, Aircrew Program Designee (APD) currency requirements, Standards program activities, and fleet procedural standardization initiatives. Assists with management of Standards publications coordination, FAA interface activities, and governance support for Standards meetings and calibration processes supporting consistent operational execution across fleets.

Major Job Accountabilities:



  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director, Flight Operations and Standards Captains in execution of Flight Standards initiatives and regulatory interface responsibilities.
  • Track FAA-required observations for Aircrew Program Designees (APDs), including observation currency status and coordination of observation scheduling requests with the FAA.
  • Prepare and coordinate requests to the FAA for required APD observations and assist with follow-up coordination as necessary.
  • Maintain tracking of APD designation status and currency to ensure compliance with FAA oversight requirements and internal monitoring expectations.
  • Support coordination of Standards Captain activities related to fleet procedural alignment and standardization initiatives.
  • Assist with coordination and tracking of Flight Standards manual updates across applicable publications to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and fleet procedural standardization initiatives.
  • Support lifecycle coordination of Standards-related documentation to ensure updates are tracked and routed appropriately for review and approval.
  • Administer Fleet Standards meetings, including scheduling coordination, tracking attendance, and maintaining meeting records where required.
  • Maintain tracking of APD calibration activities to support evaluation consistency across fleets.
  • Support coordination and alignment activities among Standards Captains to ensure visibility of cross-fleet procedural standardization efforts.
  • Serve as an administrative coordination interface between Flight Standards and the FAA for observation scheduling and related oversight support activities.
  • Assist with preparation of documentation supporting regulatory inquiries and Standards program oversight activities as directed.
  • Maintain tracking systems supporting Standards program visibility and compliance alignment.
  • Support department initiatives related to procedural standardization and operational consistency across fleets.
  • Support coordination and visibility of cross-fleet procedural standardization initiatives led by Standards Captains.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Director, Flight Operations.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting airline operational or regulatory programs within a Part 121 environment preferred
  • Experience supporting FAA-related coordination activities preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 121 operations preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Experience with AIMS or similar airline operational systems preferred
  • Familiarity with Aircrew Program Designee (APD) oversight processes preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive regulatory information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple operational departments

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.

$62,500 $84,000 USD
