THE POSITION

We are searching for a Clerical Assistant 3 to join our Northeast Regional Office to support important office operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be supporting the Northeast Regional Office by greeting the public, preparing documents, as well as managing purchasing and inventory tasks. You will have the opportunity to assist staff with clerical needs for a variety of programs. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Public Assistance: Provide information to visitors, answer questions, and issue licenses and publications
  • Document Preparation: Type reports, forms, letters, and news releases with accurate formatting and grammar
  • Purchasing Support: Process purchase card transactions, verify invoices, and maintain supply inventory
  • Record Management: Scan statements, update files, and keep office and equipment records organized
  • Financial Processing: Handle payments, review invoices, and follow procedures for bill processing
  • Office Coordination: Assist staff with reports, spreadsheets, inventory tasks, and general office duties

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
