  • Contribute to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) buildouts supporting chatbots and analyst tooling and graph networks
  • Explore and benchmark additional OSINT data sources (news, social, technical, geospatial) for potential pipeline integration
  • Build internal tooling and evaluation harnesses for measuring pipeline quality, model performance, and data coverage
  • Document findings, write up capability assessments, and present results to the broader Pulse team

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
  • Proficiency in Python, including experience with common data libraries (pandas, requests, etc.)

  • Comfort working with unstructured and semi-structured data (JSON, HTML, free text)
  • Strong written communication and ability to document technical work clearly

Desired Skills/Abilities

  • Exposure to LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) and prompt engineering concepts
  • Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or RAG architectures
  • Familiarity with OSINT workflows, web scraping, or open-data collection
  • Prior coursework or projects involving NLP, information retrieval, or knowledge graphs
  • Interest in national security, defense, or intelligence applications

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
