We're hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer who sits at the intersection of AIassisted development, advanced data visualization, and modern BI engineering. This role is ideal for someone who thinks like an engineer, designs like a product owner, and uses AI to move faster and smarter. You'll build intuitive, scalable analytics experiences that leaders want to use.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What You'll Do

  • Engineer highly interactive dashboards and embedded analytics with a strong focus on clarity, usability, and performance.
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, automate workflows, and improve code quality.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and business leaders to turn complex data into compelling visual narratives.
  • Lead technical decisions around BI architecture, visualization standards, and analytics UX.
  • Build and enhance analytics solutions across Looker/LookML, Power BI (Fabric), and Tableau environments.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, version control, and scalable analytics delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in BI Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Engineering roles.
  • Strong AI fluency, including handson use of tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar for development, code generation, and workflow automation.
  • Required experience integrating AI into GitHub or similar development workflows, including PRs.
  • Advanced data visualization and dashboard UX experience from an engineering perspective. (not designonly)
  • Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and intuitive interfaces; familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD is a plus.
  • Advanced SQL and strong Python skills.
  • Experience with GCP and Looker/LookML (required); Fabric/Power BI required; Tableau and Cognos preferred.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and enterprise data warehousing.
  • Fullstack familiarity (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular) and REST API integration preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, influence technical direction, and partner across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
