Job Summary: |
Research in machine learning and wildfire simulation. Key Responsibilities: * Research and development of advanced machine learning methods for aspects of wildfire simulation, with emphasis on fuel moisture. * Implementation in the WRF-SFIRE and WRFXPY software framework. * Research of potential improvements by using additional data sources, in particular infrared and radiometric products from satellites. |

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The hiring rate for this position has been established at $33.00 / hour. The above salary rate represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Temporary employees are only eligible for sick leave benefits. |
