*Technical Writer / Content Developer - AI SDLC Transformation (Contract)* *Client:* Charter Communications
*Location:* Greenwood Village, CO (Hybrid - 4 days onsite / 1 remote) *Duration:* 7month contract *Pay Rate:* $35-$50/hr (W2) *About the Role* Charter Communications is seeking an experienced *Technical Writer / Content Developer* to support a largescale *AI SDLC Transformation program*. In this role, you will own the endtoend documentation, training, and knowledge assets that enable *~8,500 developers* to successfully adopt AIenabled development workflows. This is *not a traditional API documentation role*. You will shape how developers learn, experiment with, and operationalize AIassisted development across the enterprise. Working closely with a *Developer Advocate, Product Manager, and Principal Architect*, you'll translate complex technical workflows into clear, actionable learning content that drives adoption and reduces timetovalue. *Key Responsibilities* *Training Curriculum Development (Primary Focus)* * Design and develop endtoend *training curricula* for AIenabled SDLC workflows * Create *foundational, intermediate, and advanced* learning modules * Develop certification assessments and evaluation rubrics * Build justintime learning resources and quickreference guides * Partner closely with the Developer Advocate on training delivery and feedback incorporation *Workflow Documentation* * Author and maintain *workflow playbooks* covering AIenabled SDLC activities: * Coding * Testing * Debugging * Documentation * Code review * Security review * Document worked examples, edge cases, and best practices * Create integration guides for IDEs, GitLab, and chatbased AI entry points * Develop FAQs and troubleshooting guides based on realworld developer issues * Maintain version control, review cycles, and documentation standards *Prompt Library & Knowledge Management* * Curate and maintain the *enterprise prompt library* * *Document prompt engineering patterns and best practices* * *Create reusable prompt templates for common development scenarios* * *Establish prompt governance guidelines* * *Maintain terminology standards and a shared glossary* *Developer Portal & SelfService Enablement* * Own developer portal content strategy and execution * Create Tier0 selfservice content to reduce support demand * Build and maintain a searchable knowledge base for Community of Practice * Produce or coordinate video tutorials and recordings (Loom, Camtasia, etc.) * Ensure content accuracy, consistency, and freshness across channels *Required Technical Skills* * Strong understanding of the *software development lifecycle (SDLC)* and DevOps practices * Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., *Python, Java, Go*) sufficient to write and validate examples * Experience with *documentationascode* workflows (Markdown, Git, static site generators) * Handson experience with documentation platforms such as Confluence, GitLab/GitHub wikis, ReadTheDocs, or similar * Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AIassisted development tools (preferred) * Willingness to create or support videobased learning content *Experience & **Background* * *5+ years* of technical writing experience in software development environments * *3+ years* creating developerfocused documentation (APIs, SDKs, playbooks, guides) * *2+ years* developing training curricula or instructional content * Proven ability to manage and scale large documentation sets across multiple workflows * Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments with rapid iteration cycles *Strongly Preferred:* * *3+ years of professional software development experience*, or * Demonstrated ability to operate deeply embedded with engineering teams and produce developervalidated content *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, Cursor, etc.) * Instructional design or adult learning Background * Largescale enterprise transformation experience * Knowledge management system experience * Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts * Experience in regulated industries (telecom, financial services, etc.) * Technical communication or instructional design certifications (STC, CPTC, etc.) *Work Environment* * *Hybrid:* 4 days onsite / 1 remote (nonnegotiable) * Location: * *6360 S Fiddlers Green Cir, Ste 600 in Greenwood Village, CO 80111* * *Highly collaborative team environment* * *Regular interaction with developers, champions, and AI Center of Excellence* * *Mix of independent writing and collaborative reviews* *Why This Role* * Drive AI enablement across a large developer population * Shape how thousands of developers adopt AIassisted workflows * High visibility within a major enterprise transformation program * Opportunity to influence learning strategy, not just documentation We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
