Responsibilities

Summary:
The Compliance Auditor will serve as the day-to-day quality control auditor for validation of compliance with requirements in all operational areas as assigned or requested. This position assists management to ensure that compliance and accreditation standards set by the organization,
client, or other outside parties are verified within the necessary established timeframes. This position also serves as the facility's liaison regarding standard and routine interpretation of compliance and accreditation policies and guidelines while referring more complex issues to the
Compliance Administrator or the Facility Administrator.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Compliance Auditor conducts daily compliance reviews of the facility departments.
  • Conducts periodic accreditation audits of the facility.
  • The Compliance Auditor collects information regarding the facility to provide information to the compliance or accreditation party for validation of compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), food, and healthcare services requirements.
  • Provides monthly reports as requested and required.
  • The Compliance Auditor develops reports summarizing audit results and conducts informational presentations to staff on any changes to compliance and accreditation processes.
  • Provides written and verbal reports of facility compliance status to the Compliance Administrator or Facility Administrator.
  • Maintains database of all appropriate compliance and accreditation audits, updating accordingly.
  • Maintains up-to-date resources, standards, rules, regulations, and requirements for all operational areas.
  • Assists management in reviewing and revising the facility's policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational and client guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Three (3) years' progressive experience in the compliance/auditing field is required, preferably in a secure, residential environment or an Associate's degree and one year of experience in the compliance/auditing field.
  • Must be able to prepare for audits by researching materials, formulating a plan of action.
  • Must be able to evaluate compliance with regulations, accreditation policies, and procedures by reviewing and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control processes.
  • Ability to apply compliance and accreditation requirements to facility's operational processes.
  • Ability to write reports and summaries in a cohesive and concise manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with employees and/or outside parties in a professional manner. Previous experience in giving presentations/trainings preferred.
  • Must be able to effectively maintain databases of information related to the facility's compliance and accreditation processes.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to perform audits on weekends and during overnight hours on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to travel for the purpose of participating in audits.
  • Must be able to work in a secure, residential environment.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
  • Must be a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
  • Must have lived in the U.S. for the past five (5) consecutive years.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
