JOB SUMMARY: The Accounting Intern will support daily accounting and inventory activities in a manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on experience with reconciliations, inventory balancing, job costing, and accounts payable processes, offering practical exposure to real-world accounting operations. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Assist with bank and accrual account reconciliations Support weekly inventory balancing, including WIP and in-transit inventory Participate in cycle counts and assist with variance research Review job cost transactions and PO/invoice coding for accuracy Prepare freight invoice files for Accounts Payable (FedEx, UPS, ArcBest, XPO, Aone) Assist with inventory item setups in the accounting/ERP system Support costing projects, with possible exposure to plant floor operations Candidates have the opportunity to learn more about manufacturing and cost accounting fundamentals, inventory control and reconciliation process, job costing and production cost flows, ERP systems, and internal controls. QUALIFICATIONS: Working towards earning a post-Secondary degree in accounting, finance, business or other related fields. Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) Experience/familiarity in accounting is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, sorting, basic spreadsheets) and other Microsoft Office applications.
