| Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Temporary Research Assistant supports grant funded research and demonstration projects.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Communicates regularly with the Principal Investigator and collaborating faculty regarding assigned tasks and project progress.
- Codes and annotates subreddit data from online substance use disorder (SUD) recovery communities, applying coding schemes developed in collaboration with the PI and co-production advisory board.
- Conducts data management activities including organizing, cleaning, and maintaining large-scale Reddit datasets used for Large Language Model (LLM)-based analysis; assists with basic quantitative and qualitative analyses under PI supervision.
- Conducts literature reviews on topics related to online peer support, substance use recovery, and AI/NLP methodologies to support manuscript preparation and grant activities.
- Assists with logistical coordination of the Co-production Advisory Board (CAB), including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and documenting outcomes in support of the co-production research framework.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work, Data Science, or a related field. Students who are currently in the process of completing their degree will be considered.
