Responsible for: * To perform MRI scans and safety screenings according to departmental policy and guidelines. * To provide direction and guidance to the technical staff and clerical staff. * Perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed. Shift Hours:
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 5 years' experience as an MRI technologist. * Completion of two-year program in Radiologic Technology is required. * Completion of ARRT registry in MRI required (achieved within two years of hire). * State Licensure on Radiation Protection is as required. * Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy. * An associate's degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment. * Certification in CPR. * Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients. * Completion of IV training course. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: * State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required. if applicable. * The successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam. * Completion of IV training course. Christiana Care offers:
