The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Graphic Designer/Artist Ito support our Corporate Office in Orlando, Florida.

The Graphic Designer/Artist I works under the supervision of the Graphic Design Manager to develop innovative design solutions with high visual impact, create print and digital graphics that clearly convey the company's messages, and meet key deadlines for internal and external projects. You will work closely with team members to support the design and development of a range of creative projects focused on leveraging design to meet specific project objectives, and create engaging, user-friendly experiences across different channels and platforms.

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist design team in developing attractive and effective concepts, graphics, and layouts for a variety of digital and print media.
  • Generate compelling quarterly newsletters using Adobe InDesign, inputting content provided by upper management and responding to feedback to revise and create final documents for use by the entire organization.
  • Create wireframes and visual mockups to build intuitive website layouts while ensuring alignment with brand image. Work with marketing, content writers, and IT to align website's functionality to business goals.
  • Proposing new technical or innovative design approaches that provide improvements, efficiencies, or process improvements.
  • Selecting and ordering branded products from vendors, ensuring quality and alignment with brand image.
  • Managing stock levels of promotional products, coordinating shipping to various locations, and ensuring timely arrival for events and conferences.
  • Tracking costs for ordering and distributing materials.
  • Plan and execute corporate events, handling logistics, overseeing set-up/breakdown, directing volunteers, and managing external vendors.
  • Maintain high-level of organization for print and digital files and materials.
  • Fulfillment of SharePoint Marketing Requests.
  • Assist with planning and execution of various corporate events and decorations.
  • Participate in professional development and learning activities to continuously improve design skills.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development check-ins, design team meetings, and other internal meetings.

REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in web development, graphic design (or related field) or comparable professional experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Portfolio demonstrating previous web design/development and graphic design work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe XD, with technical knowledge and understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle unexpected issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience in corporate event management a plus.
