The Stella Hotel & Ballroom is looking for fun and outgoing people to join our team and work part time as a Barista in our Cafe.We offer flexible work schedules, and for those interested, cross-training in a variety of positions and the opportunity to learn the hotel industry.

As a Barista on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:

• Welcome and provide personalized service to all guests.

• Assist guests by helping take orders and suggesting daily specials.

• Prepare drinks such as coffee drinks or smoothies.

• Prepare food involving the use of a panini press/sandwich maker.

• Arrange food in the pastry case and inform kitchen when items need to be restocked.

• Set up and take down soup and salad bar.

• Wipe spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances, espresso machine and counter space throughout the shift.

• Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.

• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.

• Able to work with point of sale software and inventory software.

• Must know about the entire property, services, hours of operation, locations, and nearby places of interest, etc.

The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:

• Previous experience in similar role.

• Ability to work the hours of 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

• Knowledgeable in preparing lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, and other specialty coffees and teas.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Dependability and regular attendance.

• Must have or be able to obtain food safety handling certificate.
